Nature has already created a remarkable balance in this world through what it has given to each of us. Everything has its own place, purpose and rhythm. What exists in nature does not constantly seek to become something else. It simply expresses itself according to its inherent nature.
Brahman expresses itself through human intellect, giving us the extraordinary ability to think, create, understand and transform. But the same intellect can become restless when it is driven by the constant urge to do more, become different or interfere with everything around us. In that endless pursuit, we can gradually move away from our own natural state while simultaneously disturbing the balance of the world around us.
This is where the symbolism of Rahu becomes relevant. Rahu represents maya, illusion, obsession and the insatiable desire to experience something beyond what already exists. When the intellect comes under the influence of this restless energy, there is always something more to acquire, change, improve or control.
The answer is not to reject the intellect, but to bring it under discipline. Intelligence becomes truly meaningful when it is guided by awareness rather than endless desire. When the mind stops interfering unnecessarily and begins to recognise the intelligence already present in nature, a different kind of understanding begins to emerge.
True harmony comes when human intelligence learns its limits. By restraining the unchecked impulses of the intellect and seeing through the illusions created by desire, we can return closer to our own natural state and live with greater respect for the balance of the world around us.
