Ancient astrological and Vastu traditions never looked at directions as mere geographical markers. Every direction was understood as carrying a distinct planetary influence, shaping how energy settles, moves, expands, or disperses within a space. The relationship between planets and directions was seen not only through symbolism, but also through how certain energies feel and behave inside a home or workplace.
The North is associated with Mercury. Mercury governs movement, trade, intellect, calculation, communication, and transactions. This is why the North has traditionally been linked with commerce, opportunities, networking, and the practical movement of money. It is considered a direction where financial intelligence becomes active and resources begin circulating with clarity.
The North-East is ruled by Jupiter and is regarded as one of the most sacred and stabilizing directions. Jupiter represents wisdom, blessings, prosperity, expansion, and preservation.
