🔹 A Special Category of Astrological Karakas

 

In astrology, we commonly hear of several types of Karakas, or significators.

There are Sthira Karakas, the fixed significators; Naisargika Karakas, the natural significators; Chara Karakas, the movable significators; and Yoga Karakas, whose significance arises from their relationship with particular houses.

However, the classical principles of astrology also point toward another interesting category of planetary significators.

According to this principle, planets become especially powerful when they are placed in their Moolatrikona signs, exaltation signs, own signs, or friendly signs, and are positioned in Kendra relationships with one another.

However, this exact condition is not always necessary.

Even if four or more planets are mutually connected through Kendra positions anywhere in the horoscope, and these planets are placed in their exaltation, Moolatrikona, own, or friendly signs, they may collectively acquire the power to act as significant Karakas.

Interestingly, this principle does not necessarily depend upon whether the planets are mutual friends or enemies.

The most important condition is that these planets must possess sufficient strength in the Navamsha chart.

If the planets forming this configuration are severely afflicted or weakened in the D9 chart, the principle may fail to produce its full results. A powerful combination in the Rashi chart cannot always deliver its promised results if the underlying planetary strength is absent in the Navamsha.

This is why the Navamsha must never be treated as a secondary chart.

The Rashi chart may show the promise of a configuration, but the Navamsha reveals whether the planets possess the inner strength to fulfil that promise.

Therefore, whenever four or more planets form a strong network of Kendra relationships while occupying dignified signs, the configuration deserves careful examination. If their strength is preserved in the Navamsha, these planets can collectively become powerful significators in the horoscope and may play a major role in delivering important results during their respective Dashas.

The promise may be visible in the birth chart.

But the strength to deliver that promise must survive the Navamsha. 🔭✨
