🌑💍 Ketu Mahadasha & Marriage: A Karmic Lens on Timing, Detachment & Deep Bonds

In Vedic astrology, Ketu (the south node of the Moon) is associated with detachment, past-life karma, spiritual separation, and the dissolution of superficial attachments. During Ketu Mahadasha or Antardasha, life often moves through phases where external attachments are tested, reduced, or redefined.

Within this interpretive framework, marriage occurring under Ketu periods is seen as a significant karmic event rather than a purely social or conventional union. It is often interpreted as a connection that carries deeper prarabdha (destined karma), where relationships feel intense, fated, or unusually significant despite Ketu’s general nature of detachment.

In such readings, Ketu is not considered a simple “giver” of marriage in a material sense. Instead, it is viewed as a force that filters relationships—weak or superficial bonds tend to dissolve, while strong karmic connections may come into focus. In rare interpretations where marriage occurs during a strong or supportive Ketu placement (such as yogakaraka influence or favorable chart support), it is sometimes described as a union rooted in past-life familiarity or unresolved karmic continuity.

However, this remains a symbolic interpretive model. Real-life relationship outcomes depend on the full chart dynamics, timing, personal choices, emotional maturity, and mutual compatibility—not Ketu alone.
