The more money a person earns, the more their hunger often grows. One achievement creates the desire for the next. One level of wealth becomes the foundation for wanting even more.
Money can provide comfort, security, and freedom—but when accumulation becomes the purpose of life, the hunger rarely ends. The mind keeps asking for more.
Charity works in the opposite direction.
When a person gives without expecting anything in return, something within them loosens. The grip of possession weakens. The mind momentarily moves away from *“What can I gain?”* and turns toward *“What can I give?”*
This is why earning money may continue to increase worldly desire, while giving in charity can bring a sense of inner fulfilment that money alone cannot provide.
The true value of wealth is not only in what it allows you to accumulate.
It is also in what it allows you to give away. ☀️
