In high-stress meetings or during interviews, it’s common to feel your heart rate spike while your ability to think clearly starts slipping.
In that moment, use a discreet reset: gently block your right nostril and breathe only through your left nostril for about one minute. Keep the breath slow and controlled.
In yogic understanding, the left nostril is connected to the Ida Nadi—the cooling, calming channel associated with the Moon. Activating it helps shift your system away from a stress-driven, reactive state.
As the breath slows and cools, your body begins to settle. Heart rate stabilizes, internal pressure reduces, and your mind moves out of fight mode back into a more composed, logical state.
This is a subtle technique, but highly effective. Within a minute, it can bring you back into control—allowing you to respond with clarity instead of reacting under pressure.
